Milbental is a broad-spectrum parasiticide that exhibits excellent efficacy against internal parasites, particularly nematodes. Its mechanism of action involves binding to specific high-affinity sites on the target parasite cells.
- Composition :
Each uncoated Milbental S (small) tablet contains
Milbemycin oxime 2.5mg, praziquantel 25mg and
Each uncoated Milbental L (large) tablet contains
Milbemycin Oxime 12.5mg and praziquantel 125mg. - Class: Dewormer
Indications/Uses
- Treats and controls roundworm (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), whipworm (Trichuris vulpis), hookworm (Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense), and tapeworm infections (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus granulosus).
- Prevents heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis).
- Adult dogs should be treated every 3 months.
- Pregnant bitches should be treated at mating, then 10 days before whelping, and then every three months.
- For whipworm, treat every six to eight weeks after three months of age. In hydatid tapeworm areas, dogs should be dosed every six weeks or on veterinary advice
Directions for use:
- The usual dosage for small dog & puppy version is 1 tab for 0.5-5kg body weight in small dogs & puppies
- 1 tab per 20-25kg body weight for ‘medium-large dog” variant
- Or as advised by practicing veterinarian.
